Below are the Google Analytics baseline report for The Value Cruises Consult.  Most of the reports were run using the non-paid traffic segment.  ”Non-paid means the traffic was referred organically from the search engine.” (Google)  So to you and I this means anyone who comes to the valuecruises.net website by using a search engine.  This is important because many things can affect traffic.  If you send an extra newsletter out one month, the traffic could be significantly higher.  But by using the search engine traffic segment…we see only the “organic traffic” and this is how you measure how good the search engine optimization is doing.”

Visitors Overview

How many came last month (search engine traffic only), how many pages they viewed total/average, how long they stayed, and so on.  What I want to point out is you have no absolute unique visitors.  This means ever visit has at some point been to the website before.  And you will see in another slide that practically all your search engine keywords that brought taffic are all value cruses related.

Map Overview

The above report shows where your traffic came from. Search Engines, Direct to Website (means they typed in website address or have bookmarked), and Referral which means they came from another website.

Search Engine Traffic

The above report shows you had 451 visits from the search engines. This is the most important report and we will look to this report to track success.

Search Keywords

You can see that the vast majority of keywords are related to your “brand” name. We are definitely looking to grow and diversify this list.
